This summer, Adumu Safaris welcomed 6 interns onto our Social Impact, Business Development, and Sales & Marketing teams. With broad experience and interdisciplinary academic expertise, our interns have been key collaborators on Adumu’s projects. Meet them below!

What interested you in joining Adumu’s mission to reimagine safari tourism?

I’m passionate about social entrepreneurship, innovative economic development, and wildlife conservation. Further, I have research experience on the topic of responsible tourism.

Developing professional skills while also contributing to the restoration of land rights and culture to the indigenous peoples of East Africa.

The issue that Adumu addresses occurs at the intersection of all my interests: environment, indigenous rights, conservation, and social justice.

The ability to positively impact the lives of the local people of East Africa through social impact work as well as eco-friendly tourism!

I have been on 3 safaris in Kenya!

Fundraising Strategy/ Sales and Marketing Intern

What interested you in joining Adumu’s mission to reimagine safari tourism?

The opportunity to perspectives and information that allows for economic development in Africa, especially East Africa. Additionally, I believe that I can be of great help in ensuring the world understands and knows the rich culture, land and people of East Africa, especially the Maasai.

Have you ever been on a safari?

I have never been on an official safari.
